Mai Leisz is a bass player, composer and singer-songwriter. Born and raised on the island of Saaremaa in Estonia, she honed her craft at the Royal College of Stockholm in Sweden and made the move to Los Angeles, California in 2016.

In 2015 she became the recording and touring bass player with the two time member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – David Crosby. Mai’s bass playing is featured on his album Sky Trails (2017), including Here It’s Almost Sunset, a song she co-wrote with Crosby.

She has also toured with Jackson Browne and worked with Michael McDonald, Karla Bonoff, Kerli, Dan Navarro, Lauren Monroe, Glen Phillips, Bill Frisell, Charles Lloyd, Michael Landau, Gregg Bissonette, Rick Allen, Jim Keltner as well as performed with Joan Baez, Seal, David Foster, Jeff Bridges and Kenny Loggins among others.

Mai has released 3 albums with her Swedish jazz-fusion group MaiGroup: Luv (2013), You (2015) and Metamorphosis (2019). 2020-2021 she released original music with Michael Landau, Greg Leisz and Gary Novak.

In September 2024 Mai will release her first single “I Am The Architect” from her vocal debut ep, to be released later in 2024.

She is also a Chopra certified Primordial Sound Meditation instructor.
